(More customer reviews)I care a lot about my two cats and wanted to get them something that wouldn't harm them. I've read a lot of bad stuff about Frontline and Advantage. Most of the other competitors use something that is basically the same as what those two use. Basically Frontline and Advantage contain a neurotoxin that can be extremely harmful to your pets and humans. Not cool.
I looked up some more natural methods. Always remember - *Natural does not mean non-toxic*. Just because something is man-made doesn't make it toxic and just because something occurs in nature doesn't make it safe. I read some things about using garlic to help dogs avoid fleas - apparently at least somewhat ok for dogs, but can be very toxic for cats. Found some essential oil treatments... also looked like it could be toxic.
So I looked up this stuff. Program is completely different from Advantage and Frontline. The active ingredient in it is Lufenuron. I did as much research on it as I could and basically found that it is chemically inert for mammals. The chemical stays in the pet's fat and doesn't affect them at all supposedly. One study I read basically said "we gave them extremely high dosages of it and found that there is no lethal or harmful dosage". Basically they pumped some animals full of as much lufenuron as they could and nothing happened. Sounds good to me!
Lufenuron DID however get included in a biocide ban in Europe because of its supposed toxicity to zooplankton - unsurprising since lufenuron inhibits chitin production. Chitin is what the exoskeletons of fleas are made out of (this is how it kills flea reproduction on your pet) as well as the exoskeletons of zooplankton.

I emailed this company for an explanation of their manufacturing process and was completely satisfied that the product(s) they offer are made to exactly the same standards as something you would purchase in a retail pharmacy somewhere. More importantly, the medication I purchased for my pets is working BEAUTIFULLY with such a vast improvement in a chronic condition that I am kicking myself that I let the nay-sayers have my ear for such a long time. From now on, this is the company I will buy my pet medications from.

Fish-Zole exerts a bactericidal action on gram positive and some gram negative bacteria. It cannot be mounted anywhere but on top of the lid which means that you must have some kind of opening on your lid to let the food fall through to the water surface, but that will never happen because the food will absorb moisture and stick inside the feeder and grow into mold. If that doesn't worry you then this may, food in the feeder compartments will shift and the food will gather to the center of the unit and never distributed to your fish. Slight handling of the feeder will also shift the food. My recommendations are that you buy a better feeder, get a fish sitter, or scoop them out and buy new fish.

The Vet at first wanted to put him through a battery of test, which were very expensive. My husband and I took him to see another vet for a 2nd opinion, and discussed whether to put him through the test or just make him comfortable until the end. The life expectation for Cushing is 2 yrs, with or without treatment. She recommended trying S Adenosyl 225. That has been 2 months ago, and he is doing great!! We have not taken him back for bloodwork to see if his levels are down, but he has really perked up and we feel that he is feeling much better. We give him one per night. I would recommend this alternative treatment.

(More customer reviews)I'd have to admit in recent years I've given my mom and sister a lot of smack for dressing-up their dogs... But my best friend Jake is getting on in years and I just can't stand to see him shiver when it's chilly. So I bought this hoodie for him, and we're both pleased.
You can feel the warmth it's providing by slipping a few fingers under the collar, it keeps him nice and toasty. And I was genuinely surprised how much I liked the way he wears it, he looks downright sharp!
The material is soft and it has a quality feel to it; it didn't shrink to any noticable degree in the wash.
The one problem, considering the style and color scheme are decidedly masculine, you'd think the underside would be tailored to accomodate a male dog's physiology. But sadly it isn't; the look of distress on Jake's face the first time he relieved himself while wearing it told me it was a brand new experience for him. (He's surely wet on a lot of things in his life, but never, ever himself!) And pulling his paws out of a pee-soaked sweatshirt wasn't quite the highlight of my evening either.
To correct this I cut a thin V about 7" deep out of the underbelly, and hemmed it so it wouldn't unravel. That's all it needed to adequately reflect the placement of his junk. If it had been made that way already, I surely would've given it all 5 stars.

Not 17" X 24". While 2" may not seem a lot, add them together and you come up 4" shy of available surface area. I also notice that the shipping weight on the box states 13 pounds not 20 pounds, this company charges a handling fee plus a per pound charge for shipping. So I got pads that were smaller then they were suppose to be and I was over charged on shipping. I will not be doing any further buisness with this company.

(More customer reviews)I got this divider for my 10 gallon long fish tank that I was going to use for two male bettas, but then decided to divide into three for three male bettas. I had only ordered one from Amazon, which arrived very quickly. Thus, I had to go to a pet store out of town to pick up the SAME THING, because I didn't want to divide into two, then go in and redo it all to divide into three (call me lazy). The dividers were the made by the same manufacturer, the Amazon version was less expensive, but I have to say... The one I got on Amazon is MUCH less flimsy (and I even broke the stabilizer on top on the Amazon one!) and doesn't need to be held up by tank decor at all. The one from the pet store? It has gravel holding it up, rocks, and driftwood supporting it. They were cut to the same size, and had the same general "pieces," but the Amazon by far outshines the other. I have nothing but rave reviews about this. Beyond that, the stabilizer on the Amazon version is a little taller that the one from the LFS - something I learned after the fact with horrible results (one of the males jumped over to the other side and fought with the other while I was at work. Definitely would buy again!t

We bought a six pack of frontline plus for cats from our vet because they had a special (buy 6 get 2 tubes free) which sounded like a good deal and we could not wait to receive it online. It killed a few of the fleas. So I bought another 6 pack from amazon because it was cheaper than the vet. After using 14 tubes in a 2 1/2 month period we still had fleas. After reading the reveiws I switched to Advantage Purple for 9 lbs and over. After just one dose of Advantage the fleas just disapeared and have not had any new ones to appear. So after spending about $160.00 on frontline which didn't work, My hard earned money will never buy another frontline product but will be used on Advantage if I ever need flea control again. If you noticed I refused to captalize frontline because I hate their product so much.

(More customer reviews)I'm using this for a 10gal heavily planted freshwater tank. It's very quiet and the spray bar discharge is excellent for my plants. The output stem arrived broken but Amazon sent me an entire new unit and TOM sent a replacement part, excellent service from both. The best feature is the ease in using custom filter materials. I use an AquaClear 300 sponge on one side and BioMax in the other. Seems to do the trick. No stop valve to help maintenance, as in more expensive canister filters, but at this price it's understandable.
UPDATE: My shipping charge for returning the original unit were also refunded, Amazon's return policy is excellent!
