There's a lot for your parrot to chew and preen, and it can be molded into whatever shape you wish, with a clip at each end for securing to the cage. What it is not, however, is a perch - the beads that comprise most of the toy make it too unstable and uncomfortable for the average bird to want to perch on it. It is also NOT for "medium to large birds" as is advertised - I would say it's ideal for a cockatiel or conure-sized bird. It's definitely not suited to anything larger than the largest conures or possibly a pionus who isn't aggressive with their toys. Be aware that the beads are strung on a wire and that once your bird starts to demolish the wood, you'll want to remove the toy and possibly restring the remaining beads with rope.
