(More customer reviews)Our veterinarian suggested these soft chews for our yellow lab for preventative arthritis. She is about 7 years old, and these will hopefully keep the inevitable arthritis under control for a few years.
Our picky eating dog definitely prefers these soft, tasty chews over the tablets that Glyco-Flex also makes, but they are more expensive. We now usually buy the tablets because you get more. She doesn't like them as much as the soft chews, but will eat them ;)

(More customer reviews)This wonderful stuff has made such a difference for both our dogs. We have used it for about 4 years. Our younger dog frequently had runny stools - the vet often put him on powerful anti-biotics for the diahrea. Since I started adding a tablespoon of this to all his meals, he can eat anything (including raw meat) with no loose stools, ever! (My dogs are currently eating primarily a fresh food diet that I prepare.) A vet suggested Wysong C-biotic for the pro-biotics, but I believe it also has digestive enzymes that our dog may have been missing. Our older dog had terrible allergies. She was on a variety of meds and even received regular allergy shots. Adding this to her meals made a significant difference. It didn't make sense to me, but her old vet (who is not very holistic) said it made perfect sense. The immune system is based in the gut, and it is the immune system that goes haywire and creates allergies. Getting the old dog's digestive track working better helped her immune system work more normally. (Not to say her allergies are gone, but it is as helpful as many of the other things we do for her.) The dogs love the taste of it too!

One of them (Max) has recently gone through two in the past month! He sits there, pulls it apart, and chatters as he does so. He has a grand old time with it, as does the other Grey Alex, who likes to toss it about his cage. Definately a recommended item for owners of birds that like to really chew on things and pull them apart, like carpeting. Mine always did, especially Max, but he takes most of his destructiveness now out on that piñata!

Our dog was exhibiting weird behavior.. wandering around the house lost, scratching at the floor,panting, scratching himself, biting his tail, drank alot of water.. I took him to the vet. we ran blood tests. His blood count was normal or nothing serious. We couldn't figure out what was causing this behavior. I was ready to take him in for a brain scan, when I came across this item.. our dog is a lab cocker mix. I gave him the 3/4 dose and I was very surpised he settled right down. I just give it to him when he starts to exhibit the behaivor. It calms him right down and he rests and plays like he's old self.. I highly recommend this product, but first see your vet to make sure your old dog is not suffering from something else.

Neither has ever had a problem with them and I like that they last a little longer than regular dog treats. I had been trying to find a natural alternative to greenies. With these, I break a medium bone in half each get's one half and it last's them about 15 minutes, pretty decent for a natural chew bone. They are pricey, but I think worth it!

(More customer reviews)Of course, everyone always has suggestions on what you're doing wrong when you have a dog that just can't seem to stop pulling. I know how it feels, because I have one of those dogs. Regardless of consistant training (mine and hers,) this was the only thing that we just couldn't seem to conquer. Many suggested the "Gentle" Leader (among other things,) but after much training and size readjustments she was STILL managing to pull it off her muzzle and rub her little sniffer to a bloody mess.
Finally, I saw this harness and figured I might as well give it one last chance. I am SO glad I did!!! First time out, she had it. I was stunned. I knew she was a champion!!! : )
UPDATE...
I still think this a great product, but do have one warning. My dog went swimming while wearing her harness and afterwards, we continued on our walk. When we got home, the wet harness had rubbed her raw underneath her "armpits." We have never had this problem with the dry harness, but I would not recommend letting your dog wear it wet.

Whether your dog has been injured or has just come back from spay or neuter surgery, these "Elizabethan Collars" are a great way to keep them from biting and chewing at a wound or stitches, but still enabling them to see where they are going and to easily access their food and water. Having different color options is great - these were originally only available in clear in the past, so the dog could see the stitches, but not reach them. Dogs can only see muted colors at best, but there's nothing wrong with their owners wanting to color-coordinate.
