(More customer reviews)I bought these for my indoor Eastern Painted Turtle. He's ~ 4.5 inches long and has a 20-gallon tank. We have overhead lights that clamp on the side of the tank. This bulb is higher wattage than the previous bulbs we had, and it seems that this bulb is pretty hot. Speedy the turtle doesn't sit as close to these lights as he did to our previous 60-watt bulbs. But all in all, this seems a good product, if hotter than our earlier ones.
