(More customer reviews)I use this for my tortoise and it is great. She does not burrow in it, but it will wear away. I create hills and holes for her to go into and she loves them. BECAREFUL the moisture holds really well in it. I molded it around a half wooden log, and it didn't allow the water to dry and ended up creating mold on the wood. Since then I have just used plastic if needed for support. It holds heat similar to the desert and it is easy to clean up. I prefer this to the sand because she will travel back and forth from her water to the substrate. With the sand it sticks on her from being wet, then will rinse off in the water making it messy.
