(More customer reviews)Although I do not use the powersun UV bulbs, I use a very similar and almost as costly one that is the same size. I have a few herps and one I have using this dome one and the other is just a regular fixture from the same company. Because the dome one is suited for the larger bulbs, it doesn't let the light (and heat and I'm assuming, UV) escape like the other does because the bulb doesn't fit properly. I haven't had any problems with the dome fixture and plan on getting another soon for my other guy. Also the light that isn't in the dome fixture obviously tends to wobble around a little bit since it's balancing on the actual bulb instead of the fixture sitting on the surface. Needless to say, that's another thing that's great about the dome fixture. The heat and rays target a specific area, instead of possibly moving around because of a movement in the cord or a bump. I would highly recommend this product if you use a larger bulb for your herps! If you use a standard bulb, I would just buy a regular one. :)
