The company's suggestion that you quick your dog in order to obtain a blood sample is not only tantamount to cruelty but it is guaranteed to make sure your dog becomes fearful and potentially aggressive about having their feet and nails handled in the future. It is completely despicable for anyone to suggest this procedure. Do NOT ever quick your dog on purpose. If you want a blood sample, get someone who is properly trained to draw it from the leg with a syringe. That is far less painful and stressful for everyone.
