(More customer reviews)This bulb was in use for only 3 weeks when one day we heard a loud popping noise - like a light bulb bursting. We looked over at our iguana enclosure and saw this bulb engulfed in flames! Thank goodness we were home or this could have been much worse. Now I can't say for sure if the bulb or the fixture was at fault, however, we had been using the same fixture with other bulbs for approx. a year and never had a problem. Beware of the bulbs you buy for your reptile, lower prices do not always equate safety. We now exclusively use Mega Ray bulbs with our iguana and never leave these lights on when nobody is home.
