(More customer reviews)From the photo, I thought I was buying a piece of Cholla wood, but when the product arrived it was plastic, and painted an extremely garish bright shade of blue.
Although I was worried the paint would chip and be toxic, I put the climbing piece in there anyway and my hermit crabs loved climbing on it. But on one of my periodic inspections barely a month later, I noticed the paint was in fact chipping off, so it has been removed and thrown out.
Buyer beware, the accompanying photo of this product is a pretty serious misrepresentation. If you are concerned about your crabs' health, don't buy this toxic piece of trash. I recommend buying a *real* piece of Cholla wood from a pet store, or from a trusted online hermit crab supply source, since my crabs did love climbing up and down this.
